Comments from Participating Directors
“This festival choir was the most
polished of any we have been a part of; our workshops Henry
Leck and David Flood were outstanding; our separate concerts
at Canterbury and St. Paul’s
Cathedral were absolutely thrilling. In fact, the St. Paul’s concert
has gone to the top of my “outstanding CCC memories” list
- replacing Carnegie Hall!” — Peggy Rosenkranz, Centennial
Children’s Chorus, Fort Collins, CO
"I want to let you all know how much we enjoyed the festival. I can't
recount how many positive comments I have had from singers and chaperones.
The combination of performing venues, particularly those in Canterbury,
and the instruction from Henry and David were superior to anything I have
encountered in many years of touring. The singers loved both Henry and
David, whose styles complimented one another beautifully. Through their
observation, my choir finally put two and two together about what it takes
to make a fine ensemble. A few ounces of instruction from Henry and David
was worth a pound from me! Your depth of understanding based on your background
and personal experience sets B.E.S.T. apart from the other touring companies." -
Bonnie Slade, Cache C.C.
"The entire tour was extremely well organized, and I was particularly
impressed with the concert venues. Each afforded our choir a different
but thrilling acoustic in which to perform. From the small, intimate Holy
Trinity Church in Stratford, to the grandeur of Canterbury Cathedral and
Notre Dame, the majestic architecture of La Madeleine, we always had a
fabulous place in which to perform to make beautiful music for appreciative
audiences. The scheduled workshops with David and Henry were fantastic
learning experiences for both the choir and me." - John Fleischman,
Western NY C.C.
"The experience, it was trememdous, and Canterbury would be hard
to top! The sense of holiness, the history and the wonderful sound
of the combined choirs right from the first notes will be memories for
us
all to treasure. Mr. Leck and Mr. Flood were both great, as we knew
they would be, and the final concerts were magnificent." - Tim Cahalan,
Logansport C.C.
